Clement Provides Rangers Injury Update Ahead of Dundee United Clash

Rangers manager Philippe Clement has shared the latest team news as his side prepares to face Dundee United at Ibrox on Saturday, November 23.

Defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo will miss the game and is expected to be sidelined for the longer term. The Dutchman is set to consult a surgeon on Friday to determine the extent of his injury.

“Kasanwirjo is going to have an appointment with a surgeon today, and we will have more news over the weekend – for sure a longer-term injury,” Clement revealed. “It’s a blow for everyone, especially for him, as he was adapting really well. This is football; it’s really hard sometimes.”

On a more positive note, Ross McCausland has recovered from a foot issue and is available for selection. Clement also confirmed the return of Ridvan Yilmaz, who has resumed full training with the team.

“Ross had a foot issue but is back now, which is positive,” said Clement. “Ridvan is training with the team again and is available for selection tomorrow.”

However, Rabbi Matondo and Oscar Cortes remain unavailable. Matondo has picked up a minor issue, while Cortes is expected to return to team training next week.

“Matondo has a small problem and won’t be fit for the weekend,” Clement explained. “Cortes will be back to train with the team next week, which is really positive.”

Clement also praised John Souttar for his performances during the international break, describing the defender’s outings as “really impressive.”
