Rangers manager Philippe Clement commended midfielders Nico Raskin and Connor Barron for their standout performances in Rangers’ 4-0 win against FCSB, highlighting their crucial role in controlling the midfield battle.
The duo combined for 15 tackles, effectively pressing and containing FCSB and setting up their teammates to create scoring chances in the final third.
“Against FCSB, it was important to dominate in the center of the park,” Clement said in his post-match press conference. “Nico and Connor did exceptionally well, especially given our limited training time. The team performed strongly.”
Clement emphasized the need for rotation with their packed schedule, explaining, “With games every three days, we need a deep squad. We’re competing on four fronts, so it’s essential we have players like Nico, Connor, Bas, and Dio [Mohamed Diomande] stepping up.”
