Rangers Midfielder Criticized by Pundit, Claims He’s Not Meeting Ibrox Standards

Rangers midfielder Kieran Dowell has come under scrutiny from podcast host David Edgar, who believes the 26-year-old is no longer up to the standard required at Ibrox.

Dowell joined the Gers in the summer of 2023 but has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter. His performances have failed to impress under both Michael Beale and his successor, Philippe Clement.

Speaking on the Heart and Hand podcast, Edgar expressed his disappointment in Dowell’s contributions: “I would like to see us go to a 352 against stronger teams, and Dowell is nowhere even close to good enough to play for us.”

Dowell’s future at Rangers now appears uncertain, with his inability to secure a consistent starting role or make a significant impact on games raising questions about his suitability for the club.
