Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill confirmed the return of Rangers winger Ross McCausland from international duty for treatment on an injury, alongside Watford loanee Jamal Lewis, according to reports.
“Both Ross and Jamal have gone back to their clubs for treatment, but hopefully they will join up with us when we arrive in Scotland for the second game,” O’Neill stated, as quoted by the official Irish Football Association website on March 18.
McCausland, who has been enjoying a stellar breakout season at Ibrox, has been praised for his impressive performances under Philippe Clement. O’Neill has recognized McCausland’s contributions, granting him opportunities on the national team, where the youngster has continued to excel.
However, recent injury setbacks have disrupted McCausland’s time on the pitch, leaving both managers eager for his swift return to full fitness.
