Rangers Will Face Manchester United in a Friendly This Summer

Rangers Football Club is set to clash with English Premier League powerhouse Manchester United in a glamour-friendly match this summer. The showdown is scheduled for July 20th and will be hosted at Murrayfield, the esteemed home of Scottish Rugby in Edinburgh.

The decision to stage the match at Murrayfield, rather than Rangers’ traditional home ground of Ibrox, has sparked interest among fans. Shedding light on this decision, Rangers’ Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Karim Virani expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming fixture. He stated, “We are delighted to have been invited to play in this terrific fixture in July against a high-level of opposition in Manchester United. Our supporters have fond memories of our one previous trip to Murrayfield, and I am sure will enjoy a fantastic day in the Capital in the summer at what is an excellent venue.”

Virani emphasized the significance of the match for the club, highlighting its role in preparing Rangers’ first-team squad under the helm of Philippe Clement. He added, “For the club, while most-importantly it will give us an excellent preparation game for Philippe’s men’s first-team squad, it will also give us terrific exposure with the game set to be shown all over the world.”

Anticipation is running high among fans and stakeholders alike, as Rangers gear up for this prestigious encounter. Virani concluded his remarks by affirming the club’s eagerness for the game and hinted at forthcoming announcements regarding their pre-season plans. He stated, “We are very much looking forward to this game, and will confirm the remainder of our pre-season plans for this summer in due course.”
