Rangers to Lose Two Attacking Options, Confirms Heart and Hand Insider

Rangers are set to lose two of their attacking options this summer, according to transfer insider Heart and Hand. The news comes after the confirmed departures of Abdallah Sima and Kemar Roofe.

Kemar Roofe left Ibrox after his contract expired, leaving a gap in the forward line. Abdallah Sima, who spent last season on loan at Rangers from Brighton, also returned to his parent club.

Cyriel Dessers, who led the Rangers attack for most of the 2023/24 season, is also expected to depart alongside Sam Lammers. Heart and Hand took to Twitter to confirm the news, stating: “Roofe has left and the other two will.”

Sam Lammers spent the second half of the season on loan in the Eredivisie, where he impressed significantly. His exceptional form has attracted interest from Dutch clubs, with AZ Alkmaar reportedly prepared to offer £2.5 million for him. FC Utrecht are unlikely to be able to match that bid.

The sale of both Lammers and Dessers presents Rangers with an opportunity to generate funds for reinvestment. By securing decent fees for these players, the club can bring in new signings who can make an immediate impact on the squad.
