Rangers Striker Cyriel Dessers Requests Exit, According to Reports in Greece

Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers could be on his way out of Ibrox after just one season, according to reports in Greece.

Dessers, who signed for Rangers last summer from Cremonese, struggled to adapt initially but eventually found his footing, scoring 22 goals in all competitions. However, doubts remain about whether he is the long-term answer at center forward for the Scottish giants.

Now, Greek outlet Nova Sports claims Dessers has requested a transfer and is in advanced talks with PAOK, the reigning Super League champions. PAOK narrowly secured the title last season, earning them a spot in the Champions League qualification stages.

With the revamped Champions League offering significant financial rewards, both Rangers and Dessers seem keen to reach that stage. PAOK reportedly see Dessers as a key piece in their qualification push and are offering terms that appeal to the striker.

A move to Greece appears increasingly likely for Dessers, leaving Rangers with a potential gap to fill in their attack.
