Rangers Set for Danilo Boost as Forward Posts Positive Injury Update

Rangers manager Philippe Clement has been limited in his forward line selections due to injuries, but that could be about to change.

Cyriel Dessers has been Clement’s go-to option up front, but the manager has admitted his desire for more attacking options.

“We cannot speak about three or four weeks in a rehab like that,” Clement said a few months ago regarding Danilo’s recovery from knee surgery. “We are not going to force things.”

However, there is now positive news for Rangers fans. Forward Danilo has taken to social media to update his progress, and it seems he’s nearing a return.

The post included a picture of Danilo back in boots, with the caption hinting the boots are “dirty” – suggesting he’s been putting in the work during his rehab.

Later, Danilo also made a post on social media platform X, which also hinted at his return. He wrote, “Every Saturday we follow, We cheer the boys in blue.” This added to the belief that Danilo would indeed be back on the pitch very soon.

Danilo’s absence has been keenly felt by Rangers. Since joining from Feyenoord for £6 million, he’s racked up six goals and five assists in under 1,000 minutes.

The season is drawing to a close, but there are still many important games ahead for Rangers. So the return of Danilo to the pitch is a big boost for the team and gives the fans something to look forward to. Rangers still have a big game against Celtic and the Scottish Cup final to come.

Clement may be cautious about rushing Danilo back, but with the forward seemingly pain-free, there are calls for him to be given a chance to contribute.

Danilo has endured a rough first season at the club due to injury. A return to action would be a welcome boost for both player and club.
