Rangers Priced Out of Move for Aberdeen Striker Bojan Miovski

Rangers’ pursuit of Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski appears to have hit a snag as a hefty price tag emerges.

Earlier reports suggested the Gers were interested in signing the North Macedonian international, which would have seen Aberdeen set a club record transfer fee [FotMob, 23 May]. However, journalist Alan Nixon recently revealed that Serie A side Bologna are also in the race, potentially offering a whopping £7 million for Miovski [17 June].

While Miovski’s impressive 30 goal contributions last season solidify his talent, Rangers manager Philippe Clement may have to explore other options considering the high asking price. Strengthening the striking department remains a priority for the Gers, especially after Kemar Roofe’s departure.

The report also mentions the lure of Champions League football that Rangers can offer, which might tempt Miovski away from Scotland. However, he’s not short of suitors, with even recently relegated Birmingham City showing interest according to Nixon.

It remains to be seen if Rangers will adjust their offer or look elsewhere to bolster their attacking options.
