Fabio Silva arrived at Ibrox in January with high expectations, tasked with bolstering Rangers’ title charge. However, the club’s form dipped dramatically in the final months, leading to accusations that Silva failed to deliver in the high-pressure situations.
Despite the criticism, Silva maintains a positive outlook. In a lengthy Instagram message, the striker stated his belief that the challenges he’s faced have made him stronger. While thanking both Rangers and Wolves, the message appeared to suggest his future lies elsewhere.
“Life will knock us down, but we can choose whether or not to get back up,” Silva wrote. “This season I gained much more than I lost… It was a year of learning and a year that made me a man.”
Silva concluded by thanking those who have supported him, including his family, friends, agent, and both clubs. He emphasized the importance of “being desired and happy,” suggesting that’s a key factor in his future decision.
The message resonated with Rangers teammate Danilo who responded with words of encouragement, saying “você é diferente irmão, pra cima” which translates to “you’re different bro, up.”
Silva’s social media activity and cryptic message suggest a permanent move away from Molineux could be on the cards. Where he lands next remains to be seen.
