Rangers Open to Selling Todd Cantwell This Summer

Rangers are prepared to part ways with midfielder Todd Cantwell during the transfer window if a suitable offer arrives, according to Sky Sports.

The report states that Cantwell’s 18-month stint in Scotland could be cut short if a team meets the club’s valuation. The Light Blues are also willing to listen to offers for Sam Lammers, Jose Cifuentes and Tom Lawrence.

Cantwell’s inconsistent performances have led to calls for his departure. The 26-year-old has been labeled “dispensable” by some pundits due to his tendency to fade out of games, particularly during Old Firm matches.

Manager Philippe Clement is planning a significant squad overhaul this summer, with James Tavernier and Ridvan Yilmaz also potentially leaving the club. Selling players like Cantwell will be crucial to generate funds for incoming transfers. While his value may not be as high as it once was, Rangers believe they can still command a decent fee for the midfielder.
