Rangers Open to £15m Jack Butland Sale Amid English Club Interest

Sources close to Rangers have disclosed to Football Insider that the club is prepared to entertain offers in the region of £15 million for their star goalkeeper, Jack Butland, during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The 31-year-old shot-stopper has been a pivotal figure for Philippe Clement’s squad throughout the current campaign, garnering attention from several clubs south of the border. Concerns have emerged within the Rangers camp regarding the potential departure of Butland, recognizing their inability to match the financial prowess of top-flight English outfits in terms of wages.

Such a transaction would stand as the second-largest sale in Rangers’ history, trailing only Calvin Bassey’s £20 million transfer to Ajax. Butland’s acquisition came as a coup for the Glasgow side, securing his services on a free transfer subsequent to the expiration of his contract at Selhurst Park in the summer of 2023.

Butland’s impact has been nothing short of remarkable during his inaugural season in Scotland, boasting an impressive tally of 47 appearances across all competitions, accompanied by an admirable 23 clean sheets.
