Rangers defenders Connor Goldson and James Tavernier could be on the move this summer, with reports suggesting Saudi Arabian side Al-Ettifaq are preparing a bid.
The pair, who were instrumental in helping Steven Gerrard win the Scottish Premiership title with Rangers, are now being targeted by their former manager. Gerrard, in his first season at Al-Ettifaq, is keen on bolstering his backline after a sixth-place finish in the Saudi Pro League.
Having already raided the UK market for players like Jack Hendry, Moussa Dembele, Gini Wijnaldum, Demarai Gray, and Jordan Henderson, Gerrard appears set to add familiar faces to his squad. Rangers manager Philippe Clement previously expressed his confidence in keeping both defenders, but reports suggest the club will be open to a “reasonable offer” for the experienced duo.
Meanwhile, Rangers confirmed the signing of 20-year-old center-back Clinton Nsiala from AC Milan on a pre-contract agreement. Nsiala will officially join the club on July 1st.
