Rangers Eyeing Permanent Move for Abdallah Sima at Bargain Basement Price

Glasgow Rangers are optimistic about signing Abdallah Sima from Brighton and Hove Albion permanently, according to transfer journalist Dean Jones.

Jones, speaking to Givemesport, revealed that Rangers are pushing to make Sima’s loan move permanent this summer, with a fee of around £6million being touted. Jones believes this would be an “unbelievable deal” for Rangers, considering Sima has attracted interest from other Premier League clubs in the past.

“Rangers would be getting an unbelievable deal if they signed Sima for £6m,” Jones said. “A few other Premier League clubs have had an eye on him in the past couple of years, I think he’s a great watch.”

Jones went on to suggest that Sima could be worth up to £20million due to his talent: “He’s been a good fit for them and I would expect a player with his qualities to be up towards £20million.”

Rangers Face Tough Decision on Abdallah Sima

£6 million is a hefty price tag for Rangers, especially considering Philippe Clement needs to strengthen other areas of the squad this summer.

However, Sima’s impressive 16 goals this season, even with a two-month injury absence, make him a valuable asset. Letting him go and finding a replacement would be a big challenge.

At just 22, Sima has huge potential, as transfer expert Dean Jones suggests. He could be sold on later for much more, potentially double or triple the current asking price, to a Premier League club.

Rangers need to be careful with their spending, with potential outgoings and other areas needing improvement. But keeping Sima seems like a wise investment despite the transfer fee.
