Rangers Close to Signing Liam Kelly After Goalkeeper Passes Medical

Rangers are nearing the completion of another summer transfer after goalkeeper Liam Kelly passed his medical ahead of a return to Ibrox, according to Sky Sports.

The Scottish international is poised to become manager Philippe Clement’s fifth signing of the window, following the arrivals of Jefte, Clinton Nsiala, Connor Barron and Oscar Cortes. Additionally, defender Mohamed Diomande’s loan deal was made permanent.

Kelly, who began his career in Rangers’ youth system, will provide competition for first-choice goalkeeper Jack Butland. This move could push current backup Robby McCrorie to seek a transfer in search of regular playing time.

Kelly was part of the Scotland squad that participated in Euro 2024, although he did not see any action on the pitch.

In addition to Kelly, Rangers are also reportedly close to finalizing a deal for striker Hamza Igamane from Moroccan club AS Far Rabat. Igamane impressed last season, scoring seven goals and providing six assists in just 20 appearances.
