Rangers Close to Signing Goalkeeper Liam Kelly

Rangers are reportedly on the verge of signing former academy goalkeeper Liam Kelly, according to transfer expert Graham Falk.

Falk, speaking to The Scotsman on June 4th, said: “Very likely, it feels like this one will be wrapped up soon.” The Scottish international is set to join Philippe Clement’s side on a free transfer this summer.

Kelly, who began his career at Ibrox, is seen as a potential second-choice goalkeeper following the departure of Jon McLaughlin. Motherwell’s shot-stopper had a solid season in the Scottish Premiership, helping his side avoid relegation.

“The squad rebuilding job for Clement at Rangers this season is going to be huge,” Falk added. John Lundstram, Borna Barisic, and Ryan Jack are just some of the players who have departed Ibrox, leaving significant gaps in the squad.

The Gers have already secured the signing of Jefte from Fluminense, and Kelly looks set to be the next addition.
