Rangers Are Ready to Discuss a Potential Record-Breaking Deal for Adballah Sima

Rangers are ready to discuss a potential record-breaking deal for Adballah Sima, according to sources from Football Insider.

Transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke, speaking on the latest Inside Track Podcast, revealed that talks with Brighton for a permanent move are likely to happen after the January window closes. Brighton is open to selling the loanee in the summer, with a valuation ranging between £10-15 million.

If an agreement is reached, it could surpass Rangers’ current club-record deal, held by Tore Andre Flo’s reported £12 million move from Chelsea in November 2000. Philippe Clement’s team is keen on securing Sima on a long-term basis due to his impressive performances since joining on loan at the beginning of the season.

Brighton hopes that Sima’s continued success at Ibrox will increase his market value and attract interest from other clubs. Sima, Rangers’ top goalscorer with 15 goals in 33 appearances across all competitions this season, played a pivotal role in their Europa League group-stage success, scoring three goals. He also contributed to their recent 3-1 league victory over Kilmarnock on January 2nd.
