Rangers are actively seeking to bolster their squad with a new striker, as reported by the reliable news outlet, The Fourth Official.
As of 1 February, The Fourth Official disclosed that Hearts has yet to receive a bid from Rangers for striker Lawrence Shankland, suggesting that negotiations are still underway.
The Fourth Official, known for its accuracy, shared exclusive insights on their Patreon page, stating, “I can confirm that until this morning, Hearts have not yet received a bid for Lawrence Shankland from Rangers. Rangers are looking for a striker, and despite the pessimism, I think there is a real chance that one is landed before the transfer window ends.”
With only 12 hours remaining in the transfer window, the clock is ticking for Rangers, and the process of initiating a bid, negotiating terms, and completing the transfer becomes increasingly time-sensitive.
Highlighting the urgency of the situation, The Fourth Official emphasized, “The complexity of transfer negotiations involves not only agreeing on a fee with the player’s current club but also negotiating personal terms with the player and conducting a medical.”
If Lawrence Shankland does not emerge as the final target, Rangers are poised to pivot quickly to alternative options to avoid missing out on fortifying their squad before the transfer window slams shut.
