Philippe Clement Contemplates Ryan Jack’s Scotland Future Following Another Injury Setback

Philippe Clement has alluded to potential discussions regarding Jack’s future with the Scotland national team.

Despite featuring in the last four matches for Rangers prior to the international break, Jack returned from Scotland duty nursing another injury, adding to the challenges faced by the Scottish club in a crucial phase of the season.

Having played a mere 11 minutes out of a total of 180 for his country, Jack’s absence once again leaves Rangers without a key player during a critical period.

Following the 1-1 draw with Aberdeen, a match where Jack’s presence might have been beneficial, Philippe Clement expressed his contemplation on engaging in talks about Jack’s involvement with the Scotland national team.

“We can think about that,” Clement stated. “I’ve been in that situation also as a player. That one moment you feel your body is getting more difficulty in coping with both because you never have a rest moment. So we will see in the next couple of weeks if we need to have this talk or not, but I first want to speak with my medical staff about those things.”

While Clement did not completely rule out Jack’s participation in the Scotland squad, the manager’s statements suggest a degree of uncertainty regarding Jack’s availability.

“We don’t know yet,” Clement remarked. “I don’t think it will be something for a long time, more short time, but I don’t know if he’ll be ready for Thursday. I think it will be on the edge.”

As the anticipation builds for the Europa League clash, it remains to be seen whether Ryan Jack will be included in the squad, and fans eagerly await updates ahead of the Premiership match against St Mirren at Ibrox.
