Philippe Clement Confirms the 4 Rangers Players Who Will Miss Hearts Semi-final

Rangers have been facing a challenging season due to a multitude of injury troubles. New manager Philippe Clement, who took charge just last month, has expressed his frustration with the fitness issues that have plagued the team. In the midst of these challenges, some players are making their way back from injuries, and the manager remains optimistic about the upcoming matches.

Todd Cantwell, Kieran Dowell, Danilo, and Borna Barisic have all successfully recovered from their respective injuries in the past fortnight. However, one name that stands out among the returning players is Lawrence, who is set to provide a significant boost to the team. Lawrence had been sidelined due to a knock sustained during the 1-0 victory over Real Betis on September 21.

Clement’s announcement regarding the team’s injury situation shed light on their current status. Notably, John Souttar will not be available for selection, along with Nico Raskin, Rabbi Matondo, and Kemar Roofe. The manager, nevertheless, expressed hope that the situation would improve, stating, “Should everything go well, everyone else should be available.”

Souttar is dealing with a muscle problem, while Raskin was stretchered off the field due to an ankle injury during a league clash with Hearts last weekend. Matondo picked up a knee injury at the end of September, which is expected to require a six-week recovery period. Kemar Roofe, on the other hand, has been sidelined as the club seeks to address a series of recurring injuries that have been affecting his performance at Ibrox.

Despite these challenges, Clement remains resolute and optimistic about the team’s prospects. He emphasized the need to maintain their recent form, saying, “We need to do what we have been doing over the past few weeks – we know it will be a tough challenge – it is a big game, and everyone needs to be ready.” Clement’s focus is squarely on the upcoming game, channeling all the team’s energy into securing a positive result.
