Paul Gascoigne to Back Rangers Against Tottenham in Europa League Clash

Paul Gascoigne has revealed that he will be fully supporting Rangers when they face Tottenham Hotspur in the upcoming Europa League showdown later this year. Despite playing for both clubs during his illustrious career, the former England international has made it clear where his loyalties lie as the two sides prepare for clash.

Tottenham, led by former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou, will return to Scotland for the first leg at Ibrox, with Rangers aiming to secure a crucial victory in front of their passionate home crowd. The match will be the first of two major clashes for Rangers, who are also set to face Manchester United at Old Trafford early in 2025.

However, Gascoigne’s support for Spurs has cooled dramatically, largely due to an incident where the club attempted to charge him £800 for a pair of tickets. He expressed his shock and disappointment, ultimately deciding to side with Rangers instead.

Speaking to Sportscasting.com, Gascoigne said: “At Rangers, I’m welcomed in every way. Whereas at Tottenham, I asked for a couple of tickets and they said ‘that’ll be £400 each.’ I was like, wow, with all I did for that club? I made the right choice in going to Rangers, the fans were fantastic, and they love me up there. When they play Spurs, I’ll be a Rangers fan.”
