Kenny Miller Hails Lawrence Shankland as “Incredible” Amid Rangers Transfer Links

Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller expressed his astonishment at the exceptional performance of Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland, labeling him as “incredible” amidst swirling speculations linking him with a potential January move to Rangers.

Shankland, who declined a contract extension offer from Tynecastle Park, caught the attention of Rangers during the winter transfer window. Although reports from HITC suggested Rangers’ interest in the prolific goal-scorer, the club eventually opted for Wolves loanee Fabio Silva. However, since then, Shankland has continued to shine, further solidifying his reputation as a formidable force on the field.

Speaking to the Sunday Mail (24 March, page 59), Miller, now a pundit for Sky Sports, expressed his admiration for Shankland’s remarkable progress, stating, “I said previously that I felt Rangers should have tried to sign Shankland from Hearts in January and I stick by that.”

“He has taken his game to another level now,” Miller continued. “He’s the league’s top scorer and is on course to hit over 30 for Steven Naismith’s team. That’s an incredible strike rate by anyone’s standards.”
