Despite recent reports suggesting Rangers have pulled out of negotiations for Norwich City midfielder Kenny McLean, Four Lads transfer insider Stevie Clifford suggests there’s still a chance for a deal.
“It’s all just rumors & I would hope Rangers aren’t negotiating as such so we just need to wait and see,” Clifford wrote on Twitter. “I refuse to rule anything in or out with this one.”
This comes after the Daily Record reported on June 25th that Rangers were eyeing McLean for a summer transfer, having scouted him at Euro 2024.
McLean, a 32-year-old Scotland international, is a boyhood Rangers fan. A return to Ibrox would be a dream come true for him and a clear sign of his commitment to the club.
His experience playing in the English Championship and the Premier League could prove invaluable for Rangers’ midfield, potentially bringing a new level of professionalism and quality. Furthermore, McLean’s deep-lying playmaker style could significantly enhance the team’s midfield capabilities.
