Glen Kamara Reveals Insights from Unnamed Former Rangers Teammate on Title Race

Glen Kamara provided a glimpse into a recent discussion he had with one of his former Rangers teammates regarding the Scottish Premiership title race.

Expressing his desire for Rangers to secure the title in front of the fans, Kamara reflected on the missed opportunity in 2021 when the team lifted the trophy but couldn’t celebrate with the supporters. The Finnish international acknowledged the challenging nature of the upcoming race and highlighted the pivotal role of head-to-head clashes against arch-rivals Celtic. Despite his departure from Ibrox last summer, Kamara revealed that he maintains regular contact with some of his former teammates.

“It would be great for Rangers to win the title in front of the fans,” Kamara shared. “When we won, we couldn’t celebrate with the fans, but they supported us in their numbers throughout the season.”

Opening up about his recent conversation with a former teammate, Kamara added, “It’ll be a tough one, it’ll come down to the head-to-head games with Celtic, and it’ll be tight. I still keep in contact and check up with them – there’s a good few boys I still talk to.”

Despite his departure, Kamara’s emotional investment in Rangers remains evident. The midfielder, who left for Leeds United last summer, continues to follow the team closely and values the connections with his former colleagues.

Kamara’s departure from Rangers, among other decisions made during Michael Beale’s tenure at Ibrox, is viewed by some as a missed opportunity, with the midfielder potentially proving to be a valuable asset under the leadership of Philippe Clement.
