Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Fabio Silva spoke fondly about his time on loan at Rangers, despite a mixed reception from fans. The 21-year-old winger joined the Gers in January, making 25 appearances and scoring six goals across all competitions.
Silva, who has struggled to find consistent playing time at Molineux since his big-money move from Porto in 2020, appeared to find his feet in Scotland.
“Rangers fans are crazy,” Silva told SPORTbible on Thursday. “They love their football. Those Europa League nights were special. It was great to be in that environment.”
He also praised manager Philippe Clement for his openness and willingness to experiment. “The coach was very important for me,” Silva said. “He was always open and we shared ideas. I played on the left wing but it’s important for me to play in different positions. It was great.”
Despite a divisive reception, Silva has no regrets about his time at Ibrox. “I don’t have regrets in life,” he stated. “Everything happens for a reason. I enjoyed playing at Rangers. I feel more complete after playing in a few different positions. I wouldn’t change anything. It’s a new country with new teammates. Rangers are a big team. I liked it.”
Silva’s comments suggest he may be open to a future where he plays a more versatile role, having showcased his adaptability during his loan spell with Rangers.
