Danilo Shares New Rangers Injury Update as Auchenhowie Footage Emerges

Rangers striker Danilo provided a positive update on his recovery from a knee injury via social media on Monday. The Brazilian forward hasn’t played since December after sustaining a medial ligament injury that required surgery, effectively ending his season.

“Can’t stop, won’t stop,” Danilo captioned a video posted on his personal [social media platform] account, showcasing himself back on the training pitch with the ball at his feet. The footage displays him running with the ball, passing into an empty net, and engaging in drills with a coach.

Manager Philippe Clement previously confirmed Danilo’s absence for the remainder of the season. The Gers have felt the Brazilian’s goal-scoring presence, especially with striking partner Kemar Roofe also battling fitness issues. This has left Clement reliant on Cyriel Dessers, who despite recent improvements, is still adapting to the Scottish Premiership.

Danilo, while not a perfect striker himself, managed an impressive five goals and one assist in just five Premiership starts before injury. “Had he been fit in 2024, the entire title race may have been completely different,” the article suggests.

Rangers fans will be hopeful for a fully fit and firing Danilo at the start of next season, a prospect Manager Clement sees as a “massive boost.” While a new striker remains a possibility, a healthy Danilo would certainly be a significant step in the right direction for the club.
