Connor Barron Expected to Decide Future Next Week Amid Rangers Transfer Interest

Connor Barron is set to decide on his future next week, according to the Daily Record. The 21-year-old has reportedly received offers from clubs in England, Italy, and Scotland.

Barron has attracted interest from Swansea City, Cardiff City, Plymouth Argyle, Stoke City in England, while Hellas Verona and Bologna are keeping tabs in Italy.

With his contract expiring, clubs outside of Scotland would need to pay a £500,000 training compensation fee. Rangers, however, would require a separate transfer agreement to avoid a tribunal.

Barron’s impressive performances for Aberdeen have made him a sought-after player. Since his debut in December 2021, he has become a key figure for the Dons.

Rangers, with confirmed exits of Ryan Jack and John Lundstram, are in need of midfield reinforcements. Philippe Clement, the new Rangers manager, will be hoping to add stability alongside Nico Raskin and Mohamed Diomande.
