Ally McCoist Criticizes Rangers’ Performance in Recent Win Over Motherwell

Ally McCoist recently expressed his disappointment with Rangers’ performance in their recent victory over Motherwell. Speaking on the talkSPORT breakfast show, McCoist shared his candid opinions on the club’s current form and the expectations of Rangers fans.

During his appearance on talkSPORT’s breakfast show on September 27th, McCoist didn’t mince his words when discussing Rangers’ recent match against Motherwell. He labeled their performance as “not good,” highlighting his concerns about the team’s overall display.

Regarding Rangers’ performance against Motherwell, McCoist was less complimentary. He mentioned that Rangers managed to secure a narrow 1-0 victory, with the only goal of the match coming from a deflected strike by Dessers. While a win and a clean sheet are undeniably positive outcomes for any team, McCoist believed that these results were not sufficient to meet the high expectations associated with Rangers Football Club.

“Celtic were very comfortable, Joe Hart was sent off and they won 3-0 down at Livingston,” he said.

“Rangers – not good, won 1-0 and Dessers scored a kind of deflected goal, against Motherwell.”

One crucial aspect of McCoist’s commentary was the emphasis on the expectations of Rangers’ supporters. He asserted that Rangers fans anticipate more than just winning matches. They expect an entertaining style of play when they come to Ibrox to watch their beloved team in action. In recent weeks, McCoist noted that this entertainment factor appeared to be lacking in Rangers’ performances, raising concerns among the fanbase.
